Exosomes are small vesicles (150-30 nm in diameter) that are secreted by cells and play a role in intercellular communication. They are composed of a lipid bilayer enclosing a variety of biomolecules, including proteins, RNA, and DNA. Exosomes are involved in processes such as immune response regulation, waste man- agement, and cell signaling. In recent years, exosomes have received attention as potential therapeutic targets or carriers for drug delivery.
